![]() ![]() I very much prefer not to use any anti-malware protection because when I used to troubleshoot Macs for a living, I saw them often do more harm than good. If you take a bit of care, you can avoid that. A trojan is a type of malware that says it does one thing, tricks you into authorizing its installation, and then it actually does another thing. There have, however, been a few trojans in the past. There are no viruses for OS X in the wild. ![]() TLDR: Sensibility, Gatekeeper settings, and not installing Flash or Java.
